At Bennie Griffins Academy, we believe stories have the power to inspire, educate, and transform lives. Our Film Club introduces students to filmmaking, acting, scriptwriting, directing, cinematography, and digital storytelling, helping them develop creativity, confidence, teamwork, and communication skills. The club is supported by our Co-Founder and Vice President, Georgia Oviesu, also known professionally as Gia Ray, who has worked on a number of film projects. Through her experience in the film industry, she shares valuable insights into storytelling, creativity, and media production. Whenever her schedule allows, Gia Ray visits the academy to meet with students, lead creative sessions, discuss filmmaking, and encourage young storytellers to pursue their talents. These visits give students the opportunity to learn directly from someone working in the creative industry while discovering how their own ideas can become powerful stories. The Film Club is more than an extracurricular activity—it's a place where imagination meets purpose, and where the next generation of Nigerian storytellers can begin their journey.
